With delays in construction of its new building, Cherry Hill East began the 1966-67 school year with 450 students in ninth grade attending split aessions at the original Cherry Hill High School. The school adopted its current name for the 1966-67 with the opening of Cherry Hill High School East. Įstablished in 1956, Cherry Hill High School West was originally known as Delaware Township High School and then Cherry Hill High School. There were 264 students (19.8% of enrollment) eligible for free lunch and 88 (6.6% of students) eligible for reduced-cost lunch.
